The journey of life is filled with many moments, some of great joy, while others of great hardship. At times these hardships can seem overwhelming and all together complicated. My ultimate goal as a counsellor is to help my clients process their experiences, working with them toward healing, growth, and understanding.

I am passionate about helping reduce emotional pain & instill hope for the future. In my experience this result is best brought forth by creating strong therapeutic relationships where my clients can freely process their experiences in a non-judgemental space.

Welcome to Stick & Stone Counselling Services.

My name is Coralie, and I would be honoured to journey alongside you. I consider it a privilege to walk with individuals who are experiencing suffering, offering support that fosters hope, healing, and growth.

My experience in social work has primarily been in crisis response, where I witnessed firsthand the incredible capacity of the human spirit to overcome adversity and tragedy.

The reality for many people is that life can be challenging. The ancient Japanese practice of Kintsugi speaks deeply to both my professional outlook and personal experience. In this practice, broken pottery is carefully repaired, with its cracks highlighted and reinforced with gold. Rather than hiding the damage, Kintsugi celebrates it, symbolizing beauty, uniqueness, and resilience.

Challenges and circumstances we would never choose can become the landscape for growth, shaping our character and life purpose.

My therapeutic framework is grounded in a whole-person, client-centred philosophy. I believe in addressing all aspects of a person’s well-being, including the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions. As a Christian, I am able to integrate faith into the counselling process for those who desire this approach.

As an intern clinician, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) modalities and neuroscience-informed principles in my work. My clinical supervisor provides ongoing oversight and support to ensure quality care for every client.

I honour the courage it takes to reach out for support and look forward to meeting each person who enters my counselling space.

My name is Valentine! Originally from Cameroon, I have called Canada home for over a decade. I am currently completing my Addictions & Community Development Diploma, and I feel deeply called to support individuals and families who have been impacted by addiction.

Through my own lived experience, I have seen firsthand how deeply addiction can affect not only the individual, but the entire family system. These experiences have shaped my compassion and strengthened my desire to walk alongside others as they move toward healing. I believe that even in the most difficult seasons, change is possible, and that recovery can open the door to renewed purpose, strength, and hope.

I am especially passionate about supporting both individuals experiencing addiction and the loved ones who carry its impact. My hope is to create a space where people feel safe, understood, and never alone—where they can begin to find peace and take meaningful steps forward.

I am truly grateful to be part of the walk-in counselling team at Stick & Stone Counselling Services. It is an honour to be in a role where I can support others in finding hope, healing, and a path toward a brighter future.

Hi, I’m Katelyn! From an early age, I have felt a strong calling to support others in navigating life’s challenges. This passion has only deepened through my academic journey. At the heart of my values is the belief that every person deserves connection, understanding, and compassion. I believe that no one should have to face their challenges alone, and as a counsellor, my goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and valued for who they are. Additionally, I deeply value the pursuit of meaning and purpose. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and create fulfilling lives. I recognize the complexity of human experiences and see that few things in life are simply black or white. I actively work to embrace nuance and approach each individual’s story with empathy, understanding, and cultural humility.

I believe that life is complex and that people are shaped by their unique experiences, identities, and environments. There is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. As a counsellor, I view my role not as someone who directs or enforces healing, but as someone who walks alongside clients, supporting them as they find their own way. This belief guides my commitment to offering a non-judgmental, client-centered approach that honours each individual’s journey

My heart has always been in helping people. As a mother, former teacher, entrepreneur, and now counselling intern, my path has always been rooted in connection, growth, compassion, and supporting others through life’s challenges. Each chapter of my journey has strengthened my passion for helping people feel seen, heard, and understood in a safe and supportive space.

Through my own lived experiences, I understand that life can feel complicated, painful, and overwhelming at times — and I also know how meaningful it can be to have someone walk alongside you without judgment. My experiences allow me to connect with clients in a genuine and compassionate way, bringing empathy, authenticity, and understanding into the counselling relationship.

As a counselling intern, I am deeply committed to continuing to grow, learn, and succeed alongside my clients. I believe healing begins when we feel truly supported, and that even in difficult seasons, there is always a light ahead — even when it may be hard to see. My goal is to walk alongside my clients with care and compassion as we work together toward healing, resilience, hope, and finding a path to the other side together.

We all author our own stories, but sometimes we get stuck. Kids, especially, can have trouble finding the right words. That’s where I come in to help!

Not all stories have words. When working with kids and teens, I engage in variations of play and art therapy to help bring stories out in ways your child is comfortable expressing. Through this, I hope to encourage the bravest, kindest, and most adaptive parts of your child. Real-life empowerment can come through the imaginative struggles between good and evil in a role-playing game. Exploration of a drawing leads into deeper understanding of what is important to the child. Sometimes teens just want to talk it out in a lower energy session. Parents and guardians also need support in building a strong family unit. Whatever is needed to encourage growth and flourishing, I would be honoured to come alongside you and support you!

Sessions are client-led and informed by where the client is developmentally and personally in their journey. Couples, families, and individuals are all welcome from any stage of life. I have experience working with neurodiversity, trauma, depression, anxiety, and grief in ages 6 and up.

Let’s write this new chapter together!

I chose psychology as my career 20 years ago because I believed it would shape both my professional and personal life—and over time, I’ve come to understand something even deeper: that healing is possible. Today, after having the opportunity to immigrate to Canada, I’m grateful to finally be in a place where I can support individuals living with depression and anxiety. I still remember a question from one of my undergraduate exams: “Can depression be cured by psychotherapy alone?” Even now, I return to that question—not just academically, but through the real stories and lived experiences of the people I meet, and through my own personal journey—continually discovering that while healing may not look the same for everyone, it is always possible.

I believe that supporting individuals, families, and children through mental and emotional challenges should be accessible, warm, and genuinely human. As an immigrant myself, I am especially passionate about helping others who are navigating new cultures, identities, and uncertainties. My hope is to create a space where people struggling with depression, anxiety, or life transitions feel validated, heard, and understood.

I practice from a person‑centered lens, meeting each person with respect, curiosity, and authenticity. I value the cultural backgrounds, identities, and belief systems that shape who we are, and I strive to honour each client’s lived experiences. As a practicum student, I will be working under external supervision, so I will have added support, and will learn more about emotion-focused approaches.

If you are looking for someone who will value your ethnicity, your story, and your inner strengths—and support you as you learn to cope and heal—I would be honoured to walk alongside you on your journey!

With both lived and professional experience, I’ve come to understand that at the heart of a meaningful life is connection — connection with our partners, our children, our communities, and most importantly, ourselves. When something gets in the way of those deeper, authentic connections, it can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or alone. You don’t have to navigate that on your own — that’s where I can help.

As a play therapist, couples therapist, certified mediator, and program developer, I bring a diverse and adaptable approach to my work. Whether I’m supporting children, adults, couples, or families, I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel safe to explore, grow, and heal. I believe in building on your strengths and collaborating with you to find an approach that truly fits — because no two people or situations are the same.

You are unique, and your healing journey should be too. If you’re ready to reconnect — with yourself and with the people who matter most — I invite you to reach out.

Have you ever noticed how much of life is spent waiting? Waiting for the right time, the right moment, or the right feeling to finally take a step toward change.

Henri Nouwen once wrote that much of our lives can be spent waiting for something else to happen to us. It is a thought that stays with me. So often, we wait for clarity, for things to feel easier, or for life to shift on its own. But when it comes to our mental health, waiting can quietly keep us from the care, understanding, and peace for which we are longing.

I see counselling as a place where your story can begin to be spoken out loud, just as it is.

At the heart of my work is a deep love for story. Every person carries one, and every story matters. Some are shaped by heartache, loss, or uncertainty. Others hold courage, resilience, and hope. Most are a mixture of both. It is a privilege to sit with people as they share the unfolding story of their lives. You do not have to carry your story alone and I would be honoured to listen, to sit with you, and to have you read me yours.

You do not need to have the right words or a clear direction to begin. We can start right where you are, with what you are feeling today, and gently make sense of it together.

My hope is to create a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and accepted, just as you are. Whether you come as an individual, a couple, or a family, our work will focus on helping you understand your experiences, reconnect with your strengths, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.

My background as an educator in both elementary and high school settings has given me a deep appreciation for the challenges young people and families face. I am especially passionate about supporting youth and young adults as they navigate transitions, relationships, identity, and mental health. At the same time, I welcome people at all stages of life and strive to create a space where everyone feels supported and understood.

In our work together, I draw from a range of approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), as well as mindfulness and spiritually integrated practices when they feel meaningful to you. I always tailor my approach to fit who you are and what you need.

I am a Registered Professional Counsellor with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association and hold a Master of Education, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and a Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling. I have also completed training in ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training), De-escalating Potentially Violent Situations, Critical Incident Group Debriefing and Advanced FLASH technique.

If something here resonates with you, maybe this is your moment. You do not have to wait. And you do not have to do it alone.

Understanding ourselves, seeking peace in all parts of our lives and living in harmony with others is filled with challenges. Having grace with ourselves, understanding our values and goals and how to align our lives with them is best done with a caring listening ear.

I believe that our hardest times, when we go through the deepest valleys, teach us the most about ourselves and life. Having a space to share and grieve can lessen the traumatic effects and pave pathways of healing in our minds and hearts. Preventing passing on generational trauma, building strong relationships and understanding our impulses are passions of mine as I have walked through deep valleys myself.

With experience living and teaching in several countries, I can empathize with cultural transition and the personal challenges it brings to individuals and families, and I would love to walk with adults, couples, and teens who feel alone and frustrated with the transitions in life. As a woman of Christian faith who has lived in Muslim and Buddhist countries, I believe having a freedom to express one’s faith in the process of counselling is valuable to healing.

I treasure my clients as spiritual, emotional, intellectual and physical beings and desire them to walk in health in all these areas. I desire to provide a space where you can be honest about your journey and your goals, knowing that you are valued and challenged to walk life in grace, insight and healing. As an intern counsellor, I have regular consultations with my supervisor to develop suitable and intuitive counselling strategies while maintaining my clients’ complete confidentiality. This means you get added professional input when you see me.
